About the Center
The centre is licensed and chartered as an Early Childhood Centre (ECE) for Conductive Education Programmes. The Ministry of Education issues the license and the centre must operate under the licensing requirement of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998. These affect the standards of staffing, programmes, buildings and management. The Charter is written in consultation with parents/whanau and staff. A copy of the Charter is kept in the office and foyer and is available for parents to read.

Who we are
Andor Cseh - Conductor
Andor graduated from the International Peto Institute in Hungary in 1988, where he trained to become a Conductor. This training was four years. Andor moved to NZ in 1993 to work for Conductive Education Wellington Trust as a Conductor. Conductive Education Wellington Trust is a licensed early childhood centre that works with children with motor disorders. Andor works with a wide range of children from 6 months to 5 years. He uses the Conductive principles to assist children with cerebral palsy, spina bifita, ADHD and autism to develop life skills such as: walking, sitting, toileting, language and the ability to feed themselves.
Andor enjoys New Zealand’s beautiful forests and tramps as often as possible. He also enjoys music and being with his wife and three children who are 21, 15, and 10 |
Nikita Houpapa - ECE kaiako
Nikita completed her Bachelors degree in Teaching (ECE) in 2020 and worked with tamariki as a Kaiako at her previous Centre for two years. Nikita is a whānau member to one of our students who previously attended Conductive Education, and knows our tamariki very well based on personal experiences. She started relieving for us as a Kaiako earlier in 2021 and took on the full time role as our Early Childhood Teacher to pursue her beliefs and values in embracing the diversity and inclusiveness in our little community. Conductive Education was the reason to her becoming an Early Childhood Teacher. Nikita looks forward to working alongside parents/whānau and tamariki in gaining their fullest potential here at Conductive Education. |
Vichelle Bacalian - "V" - ECE kaiako V is a Fully certified kaiako and has worked in a mainstream environment as part of her previous mahi. She started with us here at Conductive Education in August 2024, and has always wanted to work alongside a special community like ours. V is really excited to learn and develop deeper understanding in supporting our special tamariki and to extend their capabilities further and strengthen their development overtime. |
Tarika Naidu - ESW
Tarika has worked here at Conductive Education for over 8 years and is one of our wonderful Education Support Workers who play an important part in supporting our tamariki. Tarika has lived in New Zealand for over 17 years. She completed her tertiary training in Fiji and had also worked as a Health Care Assistant in New Zealand for over 10 years. Tarika's knowledge and practical experience continues to flourish in caring and supporting the tamariki and their families/whanau here at Conductive Education. |
Michelle Purcell - ESW Michelle started Conductive Education in 2021 and is one of our amazing Education Support Workers who play an integral role in supporting all of our wonderful tamariki. She thrives in learning more about our diverse needs and ensuring she can provide the best of care in our service. Michelle enjoys crafts and arts and uses her expertise in these areas to make fun and interactive activities for our tamariki, individually or in groups. |

Nicola Derbidge - ESW Nicola's daughter had attended Conductive Education a few years ago and has been part of our community since. She started as a volunteer a couple of years ago which then led to her becoming an Education Support Worker. Nicola continues to dedicate her time to support and guide our tamariki to enhance their learning, abilities and overall development. |
Yutong Gao - Jane - ESW
Jane has been part of Conductive Education for many years now and had completed her Music Therapy studies here. Jane is one of our lovely Education Support Workers that continue to help our tamariki thrive in our community. She has an abundance of experience and knowledge to support our tamariki, and with her background of Music Therapy, she uses her expertise in this field to provide tamariki a sense of exploration in our environment. |
